The service
Livestock Library is livestock record-keeping software for Australian producers. It is currently provided free of charge and is under active development. Features may change, and we may introduce paid plans in future — if we do, we will tell you before anything you rely on starts costing money.
Compliance documents and animal health information — please read
Livestock Library helps you prepare and keep records. It does not issue official compliance documents and it is not a substitute for the National Vendor Declaration system, the National Livestock Identification System (NLIS), Livestock Production Assurance (LPA), or any other regulatory scheme.
- Documents the app calls an “NVD” are drafts prepared from the records you entered. Marking one approved records your decision in this app. It does not lodge or submit anything to Integrity Systems Company, a processor, an agent or a buyer.
- You remain the vendor. You are responsible for the truth and completeness of any declaration you make, and for using the correct official form through the correct channel.
- Withholding periods (WHP) and export slaughter intervals (ESI) must be checked against the product label and current APVMA advice. The app calculates from what you entered; if a treatment date, dose or product is entered incorrectly, the calculated date will be wrong. Note that the app currently tracks withholding periods and does not track export slaughter intervals, which are often longer.
- AI features can be wrong. Ask Your Farm, Paddock Notes and AI drafting are assistive. Always check anything that matters — particularly animal identity, treatment details, dates and compliance status — against your own records before you act on it or sign anything.
If in doubt, check with your veterinarian, your agent, your processor, or the relevant authority in your state.
Your account
Keep your password secure and don't share logins — invite team members instead, so you can see who did what and remove access when someone leaves. You are responsible for activity under your account. Use the service lawfully, and don't attempt to access another farm's data or disrupt the service.
Your data
Your farm records remain yours. We claim no ownership over them, and we don't sell them or share them with other farms. You can ask for a full export or complete deletion at any time — see our Privacy Policy. We back up nightly, but you should keep your own copies of anything critical.
Availability and liability
The service is provided “as is”, without warranty, and we don't guarantee it will be available or error-free. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of the service — including lost records, lost income, stock losses, or any regulatory or contractual consequence of relying on information in the app.
Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded. Where our liability can be limited but not excluded, it is limited to re-supplying the service.
Ending your use
You can stop using Livestock Library and ask us to delete your account whenever you like. We may suspend or close an account that is being used unlawfully or in a way that harms the service or other users. If we ever shut the service down, we will give you reasonable notice and a way to export your records.
