Every feature & function

Less paperwork.
Better cattle records.
Works without reception.

Record it once in the yards — no signal needed — and it's on the books by the time you're home. Every animal and mob, treatment and withholding, movement and NVD, weight and dollar, in one record set. Here's the whole lot, grouped by the job it does.

How to read this

Live today, unless it says otherwise.

Every feature below is live in the product today, with one honest exception we tag inline: an item marked On the way is next up. We'd rather tell you plainly than pretend. Nothing here is a mock-up or a maybe.

Animals & mobs

The herd, individual and mob — in one record

No choosing between a mob plan and an individual plan, and no migration when you grow from a few head to a few thousand.

  • Individual animal records — NLIS/EID tag, visual tag, breed, sex, date of birth, and sire/dam lineage.
  • Mob management — group animals into mobs; membership is an event history, so an animal that leaves keeps its correct past.
  • One record, both levels — run mob-level musters and individual genetics on the same animals at the same time.
  • Full animal history — every movement, treatment, weight and tag event on one timeline per beast.
  • Herd classification — sex, herd class and reproductive status resolved from the record, not typed twice.
  • CSV animal import — bring an existing herd in from a spreadsheet or another product — columns detected and mapped, duplicates skipped.

How animals and mobs work

Compliance & movements

NLIS/PIC traceability, and paperwork drafted from your records

The compliance backbone: PIC-to-PIC movements, withholding, and movement documents that trace end to end.

  • PIC-to-PIC movements — record stock on and off, with the PIC snapshotted at movement time so a later rename never rewrites history.
  • NLIS transfer tracking — see which animals are overdue for an NLIS transfer, per property, before it becomes a problem.
  • Movement / NVD drafting — a National Vendor Declaration-style movement document drafted from your own records, frozen at generation so a later edit can't rewrite an issued document.
  • Corrections as new events — a correction is a new record pointing at the old one — an auditable trail, never an in-place edit.
  • Live eNVD & NLIS integration On the way — lodging eNVD consignments and NLIS transfers straight to the national system. We have applied for Integrity Systems developer access; building starts when it is granted.

Health & treatments

Every treatment, with the withholding clock started for you

Drenches, vaccines, illness, injury and mortality — logged at the animal or the mob, with compliance dates computed, not remembered.

  • Typed health events — treatment, vaccination, illness, injury and mortality in one unified, searchable history.
  • Withholding periods — the WHP and ESI clock starts when you log the treatment, so the clear-from date is always in front of you.
  • Mob or animal level — treat a whole mob in the race; the record resolves to exactly the animals that were in it at that moment.
  • Withholding-aware compliance — a movement document flags any animal still inside a withholding period before you sign.

Reproduction

Joining to weaning, measured honestly

The breeding cycle recorded as it happens, with rates computed from a real denominator instead of a guess.

  • Joining — record bulls in and out (or AI), the basis every breeding rate is measured against.
  • Pregnancy testing — PTIC status resolved on read from the latest test and any calving since — never a stale flag.
  • Calving — calving date, outcome, assistance and the calf, tied to the dam.
  • Weaning — weaning recorded against the calving it belongs to, months later.
  • Weaning & calving rates — weaning rate over females joined — and a clear "not enough data" instead of a flattering number.

Weights & performance

Weigh, track gain, and use it as stock control

A yard run records a weight per animal, measures growth, and doubles as a head count.

  • Weigh sessions — a yard run of weights, each matched to an animal by EID.
  • Average daily gain — gain per beast between weighings, on the animal and the mob.
  • Weighed-vs-missing — anything that didn't come through the crush shows as missing — a weigh becomes a stock count.
  • CSV weight import — import a session from a Gallagher, Tru-Test or spreadsheet export — columns auto-detected, animals matched by EID or tag, previewed before saving.

The books

A reconciled trading statement and a true gross margin

The numbers your accountant and your bank actually read — built from the same records as everything else.

  • Livestock trading statement — opening and closing stock, purchases, sales, natural increase and deaths, reconciled to the head.
  • Account sales & settlements — record what stock actually made, line by line, with deductions.
  • Variable cost ledger — the cost side, so gross margin is real rather than half a picture.
  • Gross margin — an honest margin that tells you plainly when the cost side is incomplete instead of overstating profit.
  • Stock valuations — per-class valuations for the balance date.
  • Who sees the money — financial figures are gated by role — a farmhand records the movement without seeing what it sold for.

Agistment, land & feed

Stock on someone else's country, and what it eats

Head-day accrual, grazing days and land condition — plus a simple feed store.

  • Agistment accrual — head-day accrual for stock agisted in or out, with money redacted from anyone who shouldn't see it.
  • Grazing days — paddock grazing days per mob.
  • Land-condition assessments — repeatable assessments with photo points against a paddock.
  • Feed & inventory — a feed catalogue, orders on the way, deliveries and consumption — with stock-on-hand derived from the movements.

Jobs & to-dos

The station task list, tied to the place and the people

Raise a job from the office, a paddock note or the phone; assign it to a person or a team; check it off in the yards.

  • Person or team assignment — assign to one person, or to a team as a queue anyone on it can claim.
  • Steps & checklists — break a job into steps and tick them off.
  • Photos on jobs — attach a proof photo — the fixed fence, the delivered part.
  • Repeats & reminders — recurring jobs and reminders that ring the in-app bell.
  • Raised from a paddock note — "check the fence in the north paddock" spoken in the yard becomes a job on the right property.
  • Per-property roll-up — outstanding jobs across every block on one screen, or per station.

Paddock notes & the AI assistant

Talk to it, ask it, let it draft — you always confirm

The differentiator: your own records, made faster to enter and easier to ask.

  • Paddock notes (voice) — speak a note in the yard with zero signal; it's captured on the device and syncs at the shed.
  • Ask Your Farm — "which cows are still in withholding?" answered from your treatment log, every figure traceable to a record.
  • AI note extraction — a rambling voice note split into separate, disambiguated draft records you confirm with a tap.
  • AI compliance drafting — movement paperwork drafted from your records with the withholding maths done by code — nothing auto-submits, you sign.
  • Grounded, not guessing — the assistant never invents an animal, a dose or a date; an unresolved reference is flagged for you, not made up.

What the AI assistant does

Biosecurity

The plan and the gate register, without the clipboard

What LPA requirement 6 asks for, kept where the rest of the operation lives.

  • Farm biosecurity plan — a living plan held against the property.
  • Visitor register — who, when, and their last livestock contact — the field that actually matters for disease risk.
  • Sign in at the gate — record a visitor from the phone with no reception; it reaches the register on the next sync.
  • Privacy by design — visitor personal details are never sent to the AI layer, and a phone only holds the sign-ins it took.

Team, access & staff

The right people, the right powers, scoped to their blocks

Owner, station manager, farmhand, vet and accountant — each scoped to the properties and the powers they should have.

  • Roles — five roles from owner to read-only accountant, each with the right write and read powers.
  • Property-level access — a farmhand sees and writes only the properties they're granted — out-of-scope simply isn't there.
  • The money gate — a separate control over who can see financial figures, independent of who can record stock.
  • Team invites — invite a user by email; they set their own password you never see.
  • Staff profiles — contact and next-of-kin, employment, and certifications with expiry reminders that ring the bell before they lapse.
  • Multi-property roll-up — head, mobs, overdue NLIS and open jobs across every block, then drill into any one.

The offline field app

Built for zero reception — nothing lost, no duplicates

A native iPhone and Android app for the work that happens where there is no signal. Live in testing on real phones today; the App Store listing is the last step.

  • Fully offline — muster, treat, weigh, preg-test, move stock, take notes and sign visitors in — all with no signal.
  • Saved before it shows — every action is written to the device before it reads as done, so a flat battery loses nothing.
  • No duplicates — records carry device-generated IDs, so two phones syncing the same muster never manufacture doubles.
  • Conflict register — if two people edit the same field offline, the later write stands and the earlier value is kept for review — never silently lost.
  • Photos & voice — capture on the device, upload in the background when there's WiFi.

How the offline field app works

Your data

It's yours — in, and out

No lock-in, and no games about export.

  • Clean export — a full, plain export of your operation's data, any time — yours to take.
  • In-app notifications — a bell for reminders, certification expiries and job events.
  • Australian & farm-time correct — dates resolve on the property's own clock, so a morning-yard treatment is never dated a day early.
